Who's Speaking at Our Hackathon?

Meet the Women Leading the Way at Our Hackathon Kickoff

We’re thrilled to kick off our Annual GDI Hackathon: Break Through on November 12 at 12 p.m. ET / 9 a.m. PT, with a powerful lineup of women founders and innovators who are transforming the way we think about tech, opportunity, and community.

Our three-day event begins with inspiring women who will set the tone for what this hackathon is all about — more than creating projects, it’s about meeting people in the field, learning the process, asking questions, and building connections that can help shape your journey in tech.

We start with Her Brand & Co., a company dedicated to helping women build, brand, and grow their businesses with confidence. Co-founder, Jessica Korthuis, has worked with countless founders and creative professionals, guiding them to turn bold ideas into thriving ventures. She’ll share her insights on how to jump in and crush this hackathon, offering real-world advice on thinking like a founder, collaborating effectively, and making the most of this experience.

Next, we’ll hear from Maca Baigorria and Alex Amico, co-founders of Jack, an AI-powered platform transforming how people find and land jobs. Jack automates the job application process, crafting tailored resumes and cover letters so job seekers can focus on what really matters — preparing for interviews, networking, and enjoying life beyond the job search.

Maca is a serial entrepreneur and UX/UI designer who previously founded Avocademy, helping thousands launch careers in design. Alex, a strategic operations leader, brings deep expertise in scaling systems and teams. Together, they’ve built Jack to create a smarter, more human approach to job searching — and in our hackathon, they’ll share the lessons they’ve learned building and scaling a tech startup, offering practical insights, strategies, and inspiration that can guide participants as they tackle their own projects and explore pathways in tech.

These three women — Jessica, Maca, and Alex — exemplify the power of women in tech: creative, strategic, and fearless in building solutions that open doors for others.

Join us as they share their journeys, answer your questions live, and inspire you to start your own.

The Hackathon kicks off at 12:00p ET / 9:00a PT on the 12th. Join us for these speakers, and then stay for hands-on workshops, collaboration with fellow hackers, and app development at your pace with your people.
