This engaging panel discussion brings together unique experiences of women to highlight their role as contributors and maintainers of open source and empower others in this space. 

About this event

This lunch-and-learn style panel offers a unique opportunity for women and non-binary individuals to gather and discuss their role in open source while exploring what the future holds for women's engagement. Together, we will discuss the fundamentals and understanding OSS software, what it takes to contribute to a project, and how underrepresentation in OSS impacts us all. 
This panel serves as the official kickoff to GDI's Woman's Month OSS event where developers that are new to open source can prep for their first open source contributions to Project Ricotta for Lasagna Love. 
Featuring women in tech with diverse backgrounds in coding and management, we invite you to bring questions and curiosity to the event!
