Take your introductory HTML and CSS skills to the next level in this new FrontEnd series! Fundamentals II is the follow-up to FrontEnd Fundamentals I, and is a deep dive into responsive web design and creating more unique website layouts.

This six-class series is highly interactive -- expect to code! -- to get you quickly familiar and comfortable with the languages, tools and practices for modern web design and development. Topics covered will include:

  • Responsive web design with media queries
  • Creating dynamic layouts with CSS Flexbox
  • Using CSS frameworks such as Bootstrap 5
  • Incorporating accessibility into your web projects
  • Learning about standard web development practices

Prerequisites:

  • FrontEnd Fundamentals I
  • Basic/introductory knowledge of HTML & CSS

Technical requirements:

Your laptop
A modern web browser (Chrome or Firefox recommended)
A code editor*

  • Recommended: Visual Studio Code
  • Alternatives: Atom, Brackets, Sublime Text
  • *All options listed offer free downloads

Optional: An online code editor

  • REPL.it, CodePen.io, CodeSandbox.io
  • **All offer free sign-ups / account plans
