React 2 Cohort - Build an eCommerce Web App

Learn the ins and outs of React.js in a very practical way by building a basic eCommerce web app in this beginner-friendly and hands-on cohort.

About this event

If you already have the basics of HTML, CSS and JavaScript covered, learning React is a great next step in your frontend or programming journey!

React is one of the most commonly used JavaScript libraries for frontend development today. It helps developers efficiently and easily create reusable components that make up the UI (user interface) of dynamic web and mobile applications.

In this followup to our Intro to React beginner series, you’ll revisit the fundamentals and then learn cool new concepts and best practices as you build a basic eCommerce web app from scratch!

This six-class series will cover:

  • How to structure a robust React project
  • React concepts: States and Prop
  • React concepts: Hooks such as useState, useEffect
  • Making API calls in React to retrieve and use live data
  • Working with React packages such as React Form, React Table
  • and more!
