Git is a distributed version control system, it helps developers manage and track different file changes of small and complex projects. Git is widely used by major technology companies, and knowledge about this software is necessary for many IT jobs.
GitHub is a Git repository hosting service, but it adds many of its own features. While Git is a command line tool, GitHub provides a Web-based graphical interface. It also provides access control and several collaboration features, such as wikis and basic task management tools for every project.
The workshop will be a mix of lectures and hands-on exercises and is highly recommended for anyone attending our frontend workshop series. It will be taught by Lana Rakhman, Senior Software Engineer at Braintree.
