About this event

Due to the restrictions of Meetup's registration, we can't schedule multi-day events, so keep in mind that this Meetup event serves as registration for the entire 4-session course (Oct 13 and Oct 15; 7-9p).

About the Course:

Through the course of this two-part class, you'll get a thorough introduction to HTML5 and CSS3 to build on your previous knowledge. You'll get hands-on experience working with HTML5 features like semantic elements and forms, and you'll learn new CSS3 properties and abilities including transformations and transitions. Finally, we'll dig into responsive design and browser compatibility.

You'll leave with readily-applicable skills and we'll be available to answer any questions you may have along the way!

To get the most out of this class, you should have a working knowledge of basic HTML and CSS. You may have taken Intro to HTML through Girl Develop It, or maybe you have built a site for fun.

Why Hangouts & Full Disclosure:

Many of our students find it hard to make classes because of traffic, late working hours, etc. We wanted to explore an alternative, virtual classes, and see if it may be a fit for GDI DC.

Here are the perks: you can join the meetups from anywhere, lower class rates (our cost savings roll right down to you) and the videos are available for reference after each class.

Please note that there may be some issues while we're ironing out the details and figuring things out. However, we hope you'll enjoy the sessions!
