Curious about programming? Want to learn one language that you can use to build websites, program robots, visualize data, run servers, and make art? Then you're ready to get started with Python (http://www.python.org/).
Join us for GDI DC's Introduction to Python virtual workshop, designed for those who have very limited or no programming experience. During this interactive workshop, we'll explore the basic components of a programming language: data types, functions, conditional statements, and loops. We'll mix lecture and practice, and we'll work through lots of problems together. You'll leave the workshop with several tested tutorials to work through on your own.
This is a 6-class, 12-hour Intro to Python course with homework that runs on Monday's & Wednesday's starting at 7 pm. The following dates are:

Two weeks before the class starts, we'll spend some time helping you set up your environment by sending a Google Hangout link for those who have registered.
Note: As we get closer to the class start I will send you a link to join the virtual class.

"Tammy Lawson has been in the information technology professional field for over 15 years. She worked in a variety of roles including mobility scheduling, working in SharePoint, teaching, and installing hardware. For three years, she has worked in the Service Desk environment with end-users on software and hardware needs installing specific software remotely, and maintain daily trends on tickets, and provide monthly training to co-workers. During her downtime, she enjoys crocheting."

As a rule, we don't offer refunds or credits; Instead, your class fee will go toward our chapter fund which we will use to establish a scholarship fund going forward.
