About this event

GDI is partnering with Sailthru to offer members the opportunity to code together in a relaxed environment and to participate in a code review session with a Engineer from Sailthru.

Whether you're just getting started with programming, or have been at it for awhile, this will be a comfy space to work on a project alongside other folks and maybe make a few friends.

You also have the opportunity to sign up for a 40 minute code review with a member of the Sailthru dev team. Code reviews are one of the most common aspects of working on software teams and they help you clarify how you think about your code. This is a great chance to get used to this practice in a supportive environment.

This event is limited to 10 participants to make sure there is equitable time spent with every person requesting a code review to meet with a professional developer.

Volunteer developers from Sailthru have expertise in the following fields:

1 developer in iOS, 1 developer in Data Science, 2 back end developers (language agnostic)

Important Information:

• Participation is limited so each attendee can have ample time for mentorship

• Code review sessions with Engineers will be 40 minutes each

• If you're requesting a code review, the following information is needed to complete your registration:

-- > the GitHub repo of the codebase you'd like to review

-->  how long you've been programming

Your mentor and time slot will be communicated upon arrival.

A $10 donation toward the Girl Develop It scholarship fund is requested to confirm your attendance.
