About this event

You are comfortable with HTML, and you've heard all the hype about HTML5. Ready to take it to the next level and find out what all the fuss is about? Then join us for this one evening course on HTML5! This course is taught by Alexis Goldstein, a co-author of the book "HTML5 and CSS3 for the Real World." This class is mostly lecture-driven, so you don't need to bring a laptop unless you'd like to look on at the slides on your computer.

Note: You must sign up with your full name, and you must sign in at the front desk on the 3rd floor.

Because we must have the class list in advance, registration closes the day before this class.

We will cover the new elements and attributes in HTML5, including:

<video> HTML5 and Search: How Microdata may improve your Google Rich Snippets New semantic elements like <header>, <nav> and <footer> New input types for email and url Form validation via attributes! The Modernizr JavaScript library and how it can help you use HTML5 today, even in older browsers <audio>

Please note our refund policy: Your payment of $30 guarantees your seat in the course. If something changes after registration and you cannot attend the course, you must notify us at least 3 days before class to receive a refund.
