This class is a 4-day series running on Tues, Jan 1/22; Thurs, Jan 1/24; Tues, Jan 1/29; Thurs, Jan 1/31 from 6:30pm to 8:30pm each day.
JavaScript is the world's most popular programming language for a reason -- it's the primary way to build interaction on the web!
In this workshop specifically for beginners, learn the underlying programming concepts in JavaScript and how the language complements HTML and CSS in dynamic, interactive websites.
We'll cover an overview of what's possible with JavaScript, when and why a developer would want to use it, and how to incorporate it into a website. We'll introduce programming basics, including variables, arrays, objects, functions, events, and we'll cover helper libraries like jQuery. Alongside the coding process, we'll also demonstrate JavaScript debugging strategies with Chrome's in-browser Dev Tools.
By the end of the workshop, students will have an understanding of to how to build out basic interactivity and logic in their websites!
