JavaScript is a the language of interactivity on the web. Ever used Google maps? Clicked on something to make it appear or hide? Seen a slideshow of images? You have used JavaScript! Learn how to beginning and start creating interactive sites. We will be covering basic Javascript, to the JQuery library, dynamic HTML, JSON and APIs (don't worry this will all make sense by the end of class!)
Because JavaScript interacts with HTML elements, we suggest having a working knowledge of HTML as a pre-requisite for this course.
This 4-class JavaScript course runs on the following schedule:
Class 1, Introduction to Javascript: May 21, 6:30-9pm
Class 2, Functions, Arrays, Loops, and Objects: May 28th, 7-9pm
Class 3, Introduction to jQuery: June 4th , 7-9pmĀ
*NOTE: room change to the Ottendorfer (at the back stair, on right)*
Class 4, AJAX, APIs and sharing data: June 11th, 7-9pm
Note: When you register, you MUST provide your first and last name for security at AOL. You will check in at the front desk before going up to the 5th floor.
