This class will be taught over a weekend running Saturday and Sunday 11am - 4pm both days.
Want to learn programming fundamentals in a language that you can use to build websites, program robots, visualize data, run servers, and make art? In Introduction to Python you'll learn just that!
Python powers some of the world's most popular websites and apps, like Google, reddit, Pinterest and Instagram.
Join us for this intro class designed for those who have very limited or no programming experience. During this interactive class, we'll explore the basic components of a programming language: data types, functions, conditional statements and loops. We will mix lecture and practice, and we'll work through lots of problems together. You'll leave the workshop with the knowledge, confidence and enthusiasm to continue coding.
Class 1: Intro to Programming and Set Up | SATURDAY MAY 21, 11am-4pm
Class 2: Conditionals, Loops, Functios | SUNDAY MAY 22, 11am-4pm
We'll spend part of the class helping you set up a development environment, so there's no need to install software ahead of time. Just bring your laptop and come prepared to write your first lines of Python code.
This class is $90.00; the cost covers both days of courses.
All attendees are expected to abide by the Girl Develop It Code of Conduct.
