Want to learn programming fundamentals in a language that you can use to build websites, program robots, visualize data, run servers, and make art? In Introduction to Python, a new 4 week GDI course, you'll learn just that!
Python powers some of the world's most popular websites and apps, like Google, reddit, Pinterest and Instagram.
Join us for GDI NYC's second Introduction to Python course, designed for those who have very limited or no programming experience. During this interactive class, we'll explore the basic components of a programming language: data types, functions, conditional statements and loops. We will mix lecture and practice, and we'll work through lots of problems together. You'll leave the workshop with the knowledge, confidence and enthusiasm to continue coding.
Class 1: Intro to Programming and Set Up | Mon. June 2, 7-9PM
Class 2: Conditionals and Loops | TUESDAY June 10, 7-9PM
Class 3: Functions | Mon. June 16, 7-9PM
Class 4: Data Structures | Mon. June 23, 7-9pm
We'll spend part of the class helping you set up a development environment, so there's no need to install software ahead of time. Just bring your laptop and come prepared to write your first lines of Python code.
This class is $90.00; the cost covers all 4 weeks of courses.
