In this evening workshop, we will cover CSS3, both the new selectors and the many new properties and values, like gradients and shadows. We'll also talk briefly about CSS pre-processors and tools that help write CSS3. Just like with our one-day workshops, we'll have hands-on exercises throughout the night. For any of you who've gone to our HTML/CSS workshops, this would be a great follow-up to that.
This workshop will be taught by Liz Howard. Liz is a Teacher at Girl Develop It and a professional mentor and consultant. She's been coding for 9 years, and really loves to teach. If you're interested in helping out as a teaching assistant, please let us know.
Please install the following prior to the workshop:
A code editor. We recommend Notepad++ for Windows and SublimeText for Mac. A modern browser. We recommend Google Chrome (best) or Mozilla Firefox with the Firebug plugin. Thanks to our sponsor HackBright Academy for the great location!
If you'd like to attend but cannot afford the cost, please request a GDI scholarship.
