In this evening workshop, we will cover CSS3, both the new selectors and the many new properties and values, like gradients and shadows. We'll also talk briefly about CSS pre-processors and tools that help write CSS3. Just like with our one-day workshops, we'll have hands-on exercises throughout the night. For any of you who've gone to our HTML/CSS workshops, this would be a great follow-up to that.
This course will be taught by Echa Schneider. Echa has been building websites professionally since 2005, and currently works as a developer at the Oakland Public Library.
Please install the following prior to the workshop:
A code editor. We recommend Notepad++ for Windows and SublimeText for Mac. A modern browser. We recommend Google Chrome (best) or Mozilla Firefox with the Firebug plugin. Thanks to our sponsor Citizen Space for the great location!
If you'd like to attend but cannot afford the cost, please request a GDI scholarship.
