Want to design your application in a way that’ll make sense to your users? Not only that, how about if it delights, wows, and keeps your users coming back for more? After all, you want to make sure you’re building something people will actually want to use, right?
This will be a highly interactive and collaborative workshop covering User Experience (UX) Design. You’ll be introduced to the principles and process of UX Design. This workshop will include brainstorming sessions, design prototyping, user testing, and visual design trends. You'll work on group projects developing a product right from the outset through several deliverables to a final design.
We’ll start right at 10 am and wrap up at 5 pm. (Lunch is included). Please make sure you stay till the very end (5 pm) because you'll be working on group projects throughout.
There are no prerequisites for this workshop, and a computer is not needed. You will not be learning software tools, but rather fundamental principles, methodologies, and process. Come with an open mind, and we'll teach you what you need to know to get started with UX Design!
This workshop will be taught by Gwen Brinsmead, a Product Designer at Disqus, and Sheba Najmi, a Senior UX Strategist at Exygy, former Design Lead for Yahoo! Mail, and an IxDA Award winning Code for America 2012 Fellow.
