About this event

React.js is a popular Front End framework. Companies like Facebook, Netflix, Flipboard, and Khan Academy are using it to power blazing-fast web apps that make interacting with users faster than ever before.

This full-day workshop will introduce you to the basic concepts you need to understand to work with React.js. 

You'll learn:

• Why Use React?
• Thinking in Components
• One-Way Data Flow
• Props & State 

Pre-course requirements:

• Basic familiarity with JavaScript, HTML, and CSS.
• Have your own personal laptop to use for the class.
Git, node.js, and a text editor (like Sublime Text) installed on your laptop 


Payment is required to attend. If you'd like to attend but cannot afford the cost, click here to request a scholarship<a href=""></a>. Due to the amount of applications, only the scholarship recipients will receive an email a few days before the workshop. Thank you for your understanding! 

This workshop goes from 10am - 5pm on both Saturday and Sunday with an hour break for lunch. Lunch will not be provided.
