About this event

Nowadays, we are using JavaScript more and more on our webpages, and that means that we can end up with hundreds or even thousands of lines of JS. If you're not careful, your code can quickly become an unnavigable maze of spaghetti code. Most web developers are now using Object-oriented concepts to help them modularize their code and make it more re-usable.

In this evening workshop, we'll give an overview of Object-oriented JavaScript, and spend most of our time actually getting our hands dirty using those concepts.

As a prerequisite, you should be fairly familiar with JS, like by having attended our JS workshop and advanced JS workshops in jQuery and AJAX. Bring a laptop, a charger, and a smile.

If you're interested in being a teaching assistant, please let us know.

Thanks to Adobe </a>for the great space.

If you'd like to attend but cannot afford the cost, please <a href="https://docs.google.com/spreadsheet/viewform?formkey=dHRPTms0blNlTlo3cUpySFJENzBEdWc6MQ">request a GDI scholarship.

Please note that we cannot issue refunds, since there's an overhead to issuing refunds via Meetup.com and we already offer the workshops at such a low-cost. We put proceeds into the chapter fund, which we use as our scholarship fund.
