About this event

JavaScript is the programming language that makes web pages interactive, and is now used these days to make servers, robots, and more! That makes it one of the most useful first languages to learn, if you're just getting started with programming, and particularly web development. In this workshop, you will learn the fundamentals of programming in JavaScript through both lectures and hands-on exercises.

This two-day bootcamp will also cover JS200: Javascript and the Web material. It will go from 10:00am - 5:00pm each day with an hour break at 12pm. Lunch is provided.

This workshop is led by Claire Bendersky, a Tech Mentor at Telegraph Academy, and Bianca Gandolfo, Cofounder and Teacher at Telegraph Academy.

Attendees are not expected to have any previous programming experience. To help us make the most of our time together, we ask that attendees complete the Hour of Code before the workshop.

Tech requirements:

• Your laptop (Mac, PC, or Linux) and charger.
• Headphones.
• A modern web browser - either Chrome or Firefox.

If you don't have any of those, please let us know.

Topics covered:

Payment is required to attend. If you'd like to attend but cannot afford the cost, request a scholarship.
