About this event

You know how to write a JavaScript function, and you also understand HTML and CSS. But do you remember how to put the two together?

This class will be a review of how JavaScript interacts with the DOM (Document Object Model). Following the introduction from JS200, we will learn more about DOM traversal, as well as events and callbacks. We will also discuss best practices for performance and code encapsulation.

This is a foundational skill for further advanced classes like jQuery, APIs, and Backbone. If you are looking to gain more comfort with DOM traversal and Events prior to the JS300-level series, we have designed this class for you!

This workshop assumes that you have already learnt JavaScript and DOM basics - either by attending our JS101-JS200, or learning the equivalent on Codecademy, Khan Academy, Eloquent JS, or elsewhere.

This workshop also assumes you have a basic understanding of HTML/CSS, like from our HTML/CSS class or elsewhere.

Please bring a laptop and charger. If you do not have a laptop, please send me a message.
