This workshop is for programmers who are job hunting. Whether you just finished a bootcamp, have no background in algorithms, or it's been a long time since you've studied algorithms, by the end of the workshop you will be more confident in front of the whiteboard and more informed about popular whiteboarding questions.
This hands-on workshop will have you practicing these skills throughout the day in front of a whiteboard. It will be taught by Christina Foran, Software Engineer at Slack, and Jessica Dene Earley-Cha, Developer Advocate at Google.
• The art of whiteboarding
• Stacks and queues
• Big O
• Linked lists
Prerequisites: You should be proficient in at least one programming language, it doesn’t matter which one.
• Your laptop (Mac, PC, Linux) and charger
• A modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, Safari)
If you do not have a laptop, please contact the instructor. We have a limited number of Chromebooks for students to borrow.
This is a great follow-up workshop for those who attended our Algorithms 101 workshop (https://www.meetup.com/Girl-Develop-It-San-Francisco/events/247529818/).
