Career Catalyst: Career Prep & Coaching Cohort (4-week)

Are you ready for a new career path? Have you been searching for awhile and feeling overwhelmed? This course is designed first help identify key strengths & develop them into your career pitch, upgrade your career tools (resume, linkedin) and develop a strategy to land your dream job!

About this event

Are you ready for a career change?  Maybe a new role at work? or maybe you are ready to go after the first job in technology.  This class is designed to offer support, advice and practice to get your focused and ready for the next step.

  • At the end of this course you will have:
  • A strong understanding of your unique strengths.
  • A personal pitch to strengthen your networking & interview skills
  • A career strategy the included how to research jobs you want and manage the process
  • Advice and feedback on how to strengthen your resume, Linkedin profile & portfolio
  • and a group of supportive women & non-binary adults to support your journey.

This class includes 4 (1.5hour long) live virtual classes, along with additional video content.  This class will also have a dedicated Slack channel that will be monitored throughout the cohort.


Cohort Agenda 

Class 1:  Finding Your Strengths & Your Personal Story 

Understanding and grounding your job search in your strengths & skills as well as your goals & dreams is extremely important.  In this session we will explore your strengths and how to own both the soft & hard skills you bring to the table.  

Bonus Content:  If you haven't taken the Clifton Strengths Finder Assessment and are interested, you can purchase an assessment and a 45 minute Coaching Call. (purchase the Cohort+Coaching ticket for this option)


Class 2:  Developing Your Career Strategy 

There are so many pathways in the technical field, it is impossible to define.  In this session will explore job search strategies and have have a guest speakers share insights on working with recruiters and some alternative pathways to land your dream job. 


Class 3; Developing Your Personal Pitch

How you tell your story in interviews & networking is key to landing your first job.  This session will help you craft your personal story that highlights your learning and accomplishments. 


Class 4: Career Tools

Resumes & Linkedin profiles are the key currencies that help you land interviews, but technical roles also usually ask that you share your work through portfolio and project work.
