Are you curious about the secrets behind the success of Women in Tech? Eager to learn from their journeys, insights, and strategies? Join us for a free, casual conversation with today's brightest tech leaders as we interview a new woman each Wednesday for our Taste of Tech. From best practices, lived experiences, and insights, to the demo of new tools and resources, this is a series everyone can learn from. This week, we host Korene Stuart. Korene has over 6 years in the tech space, beginning as a programmer to digital project management. She ventured into tech after many years of encouraging her children to do the same. The journey wasn’t easy but certainly worth it. As she began immersing herself into the tech community she observed the need for diversity, equity and inclusion. She started serving as a tech volunteer for Black Girls Code Miami then ultimately became their Tech Lead, hoping to help increase the number of minority women entering into tech careers. Her background in finances also led her to serve her population with foundational financial knowledge. Korene is a Certified ScrumMaster(CSM) and certified project manager. She has also facilitated many career and scholarship workshops for adolescents and young adults. She serves as chairman for Student S.T.E.M Pathways for Broward County Public Schools STEM Ecosystem. Do you have questions for Korene? Email programs@girldevelopit.com and we will include them in our conversation as we learn together from Korene's experience and expertise. Date: September 27, 2023 This event is free!
