Tech Gives Back: Perfecting Your Personal Pitch

How do you introduce yourself on a zoom call? Or in a job interview? Or even at a networking event. Your introductory statement - or personal pitch- can be a game changer for your career. This event will provide tips and tools to help you create a personal pitch and then provide time to practice your personal pitch in a speed networking session with Tech Gives Back volunteers.

How do you introduce yourself on a zoom call? Or in a job interview? Or even at a networking event? Your introductory statement (your personal pitch) can be a game-changer for your career. This event will provide you with the information, resources, and support to develop your own powerful personal pitch and provide time to practice your personal pitch in a speed networking session with Tech Gives Back volunteers.

This is a fun and informal session designed to build confidence in selling your talents and networking.

About the Event: The event will kick off with a 20-minute discussion about the “Perfect Personal Pitch,” designed to help attendees create or refine their personal pitch. From there, the event will move to 5-minute breakouts where attendees will be matched 1:1 with volunteers to practice. Attendees should expect to practice at least four times and receive feedback from volunteers.

3:00 pm - 4:15 pm ET
3:00p - 3:20p: Welcome, Introductions, “Perfect Personal Pitch” discussion
3:20p - 3:25p: Overview of Networking
3:25p - 4:10p: 1:1 Virtual Networking
4:10p - 4:15p: Group closing

Attendees should expect to practice at least four times and receive feedback from volunteers.
