Intro to SQL: Cohort Series

About this event

This class will focus on understanding how to use SQL and its basic syntax. Topics in this course will include: querying and aggregating data in individual tables, querying multiple related tables (JOINs), and writing subqueries. In this course, an online SQL database tool will be used to teach students how to write queries. No installation is required.

This is a cohort learning class and will run for a total of 12 instructional hours over six classes.  The class will meet for two hours on Saturdays and one hour on Tuesdays and Thursdays.  The class days schedule is below.  Please note all classes are recorded, so if you can not make a class, you can review the materials via the recording.

Schedule Week One:

  • Saturday, May 18th, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm ET. (8:00 am -10:00 am PT)
  • Tuesday, May 21st, 3:00 pm-4:00 pm ET (12:00 pm-1:00 pm PT) 
  • Thursday, May 23rd, 3:00 pm-4:00 pm ET (12:00 pm-1:00 pm PT)

Week Two:  (please note we are skipping Saturday May 25th in observance of Memorial Day)

  • Tuesday, May 28th, 3:00 pm-4:00 pm ET (12:00 pm-1:00 pm PT)

  • Thursday, May 30th, 3:00 pm-4:00 pm ET (12:00 pm-1:00 pm PT)
  • Saturday, June 1st, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm ET. (8:00 am -10:00 am PT)

Week Three:

  • Tuesday, June 4th, 3:00 pm-4:00 pm ET (12:00 pm-1:00 pm PT)

  • Thursday, June 6th, 3:00 pm-4:00 pm ET (12:00 pm-1:00 pm PT)
  • Saturday, June 8th, 11:00 am - 1:00 pm ET. (8:00 am -10:00 am PT)

Cost: $250 (12 hours of instruction)
