SQL II: A Learning Cohort (4-Class Series)

The 'sequel' to SQL! For those who have participated in our Intro to SQL cohort, or if you are familiar with the basics of SQL and can still use this as a refresher to practice SQL statements. This class will provide you with more advanced, easy-to-follow SQL instruction and the ability to practice what you have learned.

About this event

This 'sequel' to Intro to SQL cohort will provide students with the opportunity to learn and write the set of queries that an entry/intermediate level data analyst writes on a daily basis.

Topics in this course will include: advanced joins and subqueries, window functions, and common table expressions (CTEs). In this course, an online SQL database tool will be used to teach students how to write queries. No installation is required.

This will be a 4-class cohort; the schedule is below.

Schedule:

  • Tuesday, October 12, 7:00pm-9:00pm ET (4:00pm-6:00pm) PT
  • Thursday, October 14, 7:00pm-9:00pm ET (4:00pm-6:00pm) PT
  • Tuesday, October 19, 7:00pm-9:00pm ET (4:00pm-6:00pm) PT
  • Thursday, October 21, 7:00pm-9:00pm ET (4:00pm-6:00pm) PT

The class will include hands-on work and assignments. Students will benefit both from the instructor's knowledge and peer-to-peer interactions.
