FrontEnd Classes

Javascript, like anything else in the software world, continues to evolve and grow over time, with new features and syntax added every year. This cohort will introduce the latest versions of JavaScript and features that aspiring developers should know and be using.

About this event

Overview

ECMAScript 6 (also known as ES6) is the current modern standard of Javascript. Like most things in the software world, JavaScript continues to evolve and grow, with new features and syntax added every year. It’s important for developers to stay updated on how the language is changing over time.

This six-class cohort series will be an introduction and practical exploration into the modern features and syntax of JavaScript that aspiring frontend developers should know about and be using. This series will also be foundational—a great prerequisite—for those interested in eventually learning and using popular JavaScript frameworks such as React and Vue.

Topics to cover will include:

  • Switch and Ternary statements
  • Array iterators
  • Objects & Object methods
  • Destructuring objects and arrays
  • Rest & Spread Operators
  • Promises
