New to the tech field completely or ready to switch fields but don’t know where to start. Well here is our introductory class to give you some insight on where to go and what paths are available to you.

About this event

Overview

What the Tech will introduce you to the basics of web development and the developer’s place in it. Through slides and live examples, you’ll gain an understanding of modern web development and the many avenues to success in it.

This class will cover:

  • Tech Industry and the Developer’s role in it
  • Developer tools (in light detail)
    • Code-editors/IDE
    • Github
    • Slack
  • What is a Front-End developer?
    • Front-End programming languages (in light detail)
    • Classes we offer and places hiring for these roles
  • What is a Back-end developer?
    • Back-end programming languages (in light detail)
    • Classes we offer and places hiring for these roles
  • What is a FullStack Developer?
    • Series we offer that would make you essentially full-stack
    • Companies actively seeking full-stack developers

Class Cost: $40 (2 hours)
