Jul 16, 11:00 PM – Jul 19, 1:00 AM

User Experience (UX)

The dictionary defines UX as "the overall experience of a person using a product such as a website or computer application, especially in terms of how easy or pleasing it is to use." But what goes into making a pleasant experience? This introductory course will explore the tools, terms, and best practices for getting to know UX.

About this event

Overview:

This comprehensive course provides an in-depth exploration of User Experience (UX), designed to give students a solid foundation in this essential field. Throughout the course, students will gain a thorough understanding of UX principles, methodologies, and practices. The curriculum is divided into two main components, each focusing on a critical aspect of UX.

In the first part of the course, students will delve into Design Thinking, an innovative problem-solving approach that emphasizes empathy, creativity, and user-centered design. Through interactive workshops and hands-on projects, students will learn to apply Design Thinking techniques to real-world challenges, fostering their ability to create intuitive and effective user interfaces.

The second part of the course is dedicated to UX Research, where students will explore various research methods and tools used to gather valuable user insights. Topics will include user interviews, surveys, usability testing, and data analysis. By engaging in practical research activities, students will develop the skills needed to understand user behaviors, preferences, and pain points, ultimately informing the design process.
