JavaScript is the programming language that makes web pages interactive and is now used these days to make servers, robots, and more. That makes it one of the most useful first languages to learn if you're just getting started with programming, and particularly web development. In this workshop, you will learn the fundamentals of programming in JavaScript. The workshop will be a mix of lectures and hands-on exercises and will be taught in a two-class series for a total of four hours of class time. Class 1: Mon, March 22, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm ET / 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm PT Prerequisites: Technical requirements: An online code editor account* Optional: A code or text editor
Class 2: Wed, March 24, 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm ET / 3:00 pm - 5:00 pm PT
Attendees are not expected to have any previous programming experience. If you already have experience with another language besides JavaScript, you are welcome to come, but you may find the workshop goes at too slow a pace.
