Join Raised by Us and Girl Develop It for an afternoon of learning, listening, and leveraging women's work in tech. This event will feature two distinct panel discussions, workshops, learning labs, and networking to celebrate and honor our past, present, and future in driving tech.

Raised by Us and Girl Develop It invite you to participate in engaging learning opportunities, professional development and networking, and empowering conversation in honor of Women's History Month. This mini-conference will feature three specific events:

  • - Two panel discussions with a focus on Career Development and Women in Engineering
  • - Learning Lab featuring workshops that provide hands-on experience to solve real-world problems
  • - Career-Focused World Cafe, offering small group discussions, peer-to-peer learning, and networking

Networking event to kick-off the day's activities and learning.

Agenda (all EDT):

1:00 - 1:30 pm: Building Connections 
Networking Event
RBU and GDI members, speakers, panelists, and volunteers will be matched one-to-one for short networking connections.

1:30 - 2:30 pm: Tech Talent 
Panel Discussion
Top recruiters share best practices for job seekers: top skills they look for, software skills highest in demand, and insight/advice on diversity in tech.

2:30 - 3:00pm: Building Connections
Networking Event

3:00 - 4:00pm: Women in Engineering
Panel Discussion
Experienced women in engineering share their work, goals, progress, and hopes for the future of women in engineering.

4:00 - 4:30pm: Building Connections
Networking Event

4:30 - 5:30pm: World Cafe
Tech & Career Roundtable Discussions
Small-group discussions about career opportunities, shared challenges, and recommendations for success in the tech and engineering space. There will be specific offerings for Linkedin Profiles Reviews and also Debugging Code hands-on learning sessions.
