UX Strategy & Research (2 class series)

Jan 16, 2021, 5:00 – 6:30 PM

This class will teach the whole process from design thinking methodology to tactical approaches to experimentation. Students will gain hands on experience by working through UX problems.

About this event

This class is designed to provide a deep dive into UX Strategy and Research.  The class is a 2 class series and you will learn the following in each session:

Session 1) You'll learn the design thinking methodology in-depth and cover, end-to-end, the process around exploring a problem space, understanding customer needs with various techniques, framing the problem, hypothesis and brainstorming/testing solutions to those problems that you've discovered. You can use that framework and those techniques in any context, whether or not you end up creating an app or website at the end. We will look at a blend of best practices and case studies to guide our learnings.

Session 2) We will pick up from the Part 1, and engage in a more tactical and experimental approach to UX design. Students will work through an actual UX problem, create their own problem statement, craft their own research plan, develop a persona, identify journey and key user flows, outline a hypothesis for moving forward. We will wrap up with a share and feedback session.

Class Schedule:
