About this event

On Tuesday and Wednesday, September 24 – 25, we will be creating an interactive Mad Lib game. What is a mad lib game? This game is an interactive form of story-telling which prompts others for a list of words to substitute for blanks in a story before reading it aloud.

What You’ll Learn:

  • HTML: Structure your Mad Lib game.
  • CSS: Style and layout the game for an engaging user experience.
  • JavaScript: Add interactivity and dynamic content to the game.
  • Git & GitHub: Work as a team, track changes, and manage the game’s code collaboratively.

Why This Matters: In today’s tech landscape, strong collaboration skills are as crucial as technical expertise. This project will give you hands-on experience in dividing tasks, merging code, and resolving conflicts within a team.

Before we begin, please ensure you have the following set up:

  • A laptop or desktop computer
  • A stable internet connection
  • A modern web browser (Chrome, Firefox, or Safari)
  • A text editor (Visual Studio Code, Sublime Text, or Atom)
  • Git installed on your computer
  • A GitHub account
